The first of IDEA’s new Forum series looks at the always-controversial issue of tax.

Labour's proposal for a tax on residential property investment has reignited debate about whether New Zealand should have a capital gains tax (CGT). Would it fix the housing market – or put the economy into reverse? If you want to get beyond the political posturing and understand what a CGT would really mean, this is the panel event for you.

IDEA’s Forum series is designed to model constructive disagreement and illuminate complex issues, featuring panellists who disagree robustly but respectfully.
